Stainless Steel 347/347H Heat Exchanger Tubing is composed of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and is stabilized with columbium (niobium) to improve resistance to intergranular corrosion. The 347H grade has higher carbon content than 347, offering better high-temperature strength and creep resistance. These tubes typically exhibit a tensile strength of around 485 MPa, a yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%. Their mechanical properties, combined with excellent oxidation and heat resistance, make them well-suited for elevated temperature applications, particularly in systems that experience frequent thermal cycling and high-pressure conditions.
