Titanium seamless tubing is primarily composed of titanium with purity levels depending on the grade—commonly Grade 2 (commercially pure) and Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). It offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high resistance to corrosion (especially in saltwater and acidic environments), and biocompatibility. Grade 2 exhibits yield strength of around 275 MPa, tensile strength of 345–485 MPa, and elongation up to 20%. Grade 5 offers greater strength with tensile strength of 895 MPa.
