Stainless Steel 347 and 347H Welded Tubing consists mainly of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and stabilised with columbium (niobium), which improves resistance to intergranular corrosion. The 347H grade contains more carbon, with improved strength at high temperatures. The welded tubes generally provide a tensile strength of around 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of 35%. They also provide high oxidation resistance and mechanical behavior under thermal stress. Their weldability and mechanical strength make them appropriate for harsh environments of high pressure and fluctuations in temperature.
