Titanium Grade 2 is a commercially pure titanium alloy (UNS R50400) containing approximately 99.2% titanium, with small amounts of oxygen (max 0.25%), iron (max 0.30%), carbon, nitrogen, and hydrogen. It offers excellent weldability, ductility, and corrosion resistance in oxidizing and mildly reducing environments. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 345 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%. Titanium Grade 2 tubing also maintains its strength at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for critical service environments that demand longevity, performance, and minimal maintenance.
